Another project idea I was exploring was colour in nature. Since I had one side focused on the exploration of shapes in the landscape, I decided to explore the other factor: that of colour.
My favourites overall were the following:
However, they were painted landscape, as nature inspired scapes, however I prefer them portrait, as a couple of the marks looked rather human-like. I liked this uneasy quality, it is something I often use within my work and here I really liked the impact it had, especially with regard to the right hand image.
I decided to produce a couple more images that were similar in style to this:
This image in landscape makes for an interesting abstraction of some kind of landscape, though rather uncertain.
I ended up deciding that these more human-like images could perhaps be used in a different project as I wanted to focus on the city/nature/abstract element.
